Waymon James Sits Down With Kevin Lonnquist

TCU junior running back Waymon James will be part of a tremendous one-two punch in the Horned Frogs backfield alongside senior Matthew Tucker. Last season James rushed for 875 yards and six touchdowns while leading TCU on the ground.  James compiled three 100 yard games in 2011 and a career high of 181 yards against Wyoming.

We sat down with Waymon James at the TCU Kickoff Luncheon Sunday and asked him about he loss Ed  Wesley last season, the TCU backfield and what it will be like to be playing Big 12 defenses in 2012.

Yes he does and I’m going to miss Waco. A very friendly town with evtiyehrng I need. An Academy store. Lots of great places to eat as well.Baylor was in a tizzy last year when U.T. wanted to leave for some west coast foo-foo conference. There is the economic reality Baylor will have to deal with. Baylor is a small school and does not have enough alumni/fans to attract a large enough audience for a broadcast contract. They piggy backed on A&M and U.T. when the SWC broke up. As you say, no biggie to Baylor to drop Rice in the grease. The Big 12 (10) (9) will break up. The schools that draw ratings will reform or join other conferences. Baylor may get lucky and piggy back on U.T. again, but I think that unlikely. Then again there is the U.T. network. They may need some filler for a while.
