On Wednesday night the folks at FX will premiere their new winter drama The Americans. The show takes place in America in the 1980′s at the peak of the cold war and follows a elite group of Soviet KGB officers tasked with impersonating average American citizens all the while setting up sleeper cells in the heart of America. The cast includes Matthew Rhys, Kerri Russell, Noah Emmerich and Keidrich Sellati. While the parents, Rhys and Russell are covert agents not even their children have a clue as to the secret lives that their parents live. The brains behind this series is none other than the man that brought us the greatness of “Justified” Graham Yost. So set your DVR’s for Wednesday night at 9pm CST and lets see if FX has another great adult drama on their hands.
