The Horned Frogs women’s team will officially kick off Big 12 basketball at Daniel-Meyer Coliseum on Wednesday, Jan. 2, when they play host to defending NCAA champion Baylor at 7 p.m. The Bears entered this week ranked No. 3 in both major national polls.
Among TCU’s other eight conference home games are six against teams that are either ranked or currently receiving votes in Associated Press Top 25: No. 12 Oklahoma (Jan. 9), No. 16 Oklahoma State (Feb. 20), No. 18 Texas (Feb. 2), No. 22 Kansas (Feb. 13), No. 25 West Virginia (Feb. 23) and Iowa State (March 2). The Frogs also will play host to Kansas State, which currently is unbeaten at 7-0, on Jan. 19, as well as in-state rival Texas Tech on Feb. 9.
The TCU men’s team tips off its inaugural Big 12 season at home Saturday, Jan. 5 against longtime rival Texas Tech at 5 p.m. Like the women’s team, the Frog men also will face a formidable home league slate featuring a pair of ranked opponents in No. 9 Kansas (Feb. 6) and No. 24 Oklahoma State (Feb. 27), as well as reigning NCAA Tournament qualifiers Kansas State (Jan. 16), Iowa State (Jan. 19), Baylor (Jan. 26), Texas (Feb. 2) and West Virginia (Feb. 9). The squad wraps up its Big 12 schedule at home March 9 vs. Oklahoma.
Single-game tickets for TCU men’s basketball are $18 for adult reserved seating and $10 for youth reserved. For TCU women’s basketball, adult and youth reserved seats are on sale for $10 and $6, respectively, while general admission tickets also are available for $8 (adult) and $5 (youth).
