The Texas Aggies are prepared to unveil the premier facility in all of college football September 6th, when they will host Lamar University in their new home that has undergone $450 million in renovations. The project, which will be completed in 2015, is expected to seat an estimated 102,512 fans. The Aggies will play at the renovated Kyle Field throughout the 2014 season, however, it will be reseated in 2015.
“We are very excited about the upcoming renovations at Kyle Field,” head coach Kevin Sumlin said. “I said when I returned to Aggieland that the atmosphere at Kyle Field is second to none. The new Kyle Field makes a statement about the commitment of all Aggie fans to our football program.”
