Do you know who the new Dallas Stars are?
Don’t feel bad. Most people don’t know many of the Stars players either.
The Dallas Stars have gone through much reorganization since last year. Almost every position has changed, with new faces and names we have to learn. But does that mean that the Stars are “new and improved?”
Ehhhh… Yeah, kinda sorta in a way.
The Stars turned the organization inside out, from jersey to players to coaches to front office, to create a new, fresh, and hopefully a team and organization that competes for the Stanley Cup.
The last five years, two of those with former Texas Stars coach Glen Gulutzan and four with Joe Niewendyk, have been postseason-less. But in their defense, they were struggling to survive financially and the Niewy/Guly team had a full plate.
The Dallas Stars organization has done such a shuffle, it’s a wonder we even have any names we recognize. Let’s see if I can help with that. Over the next few days, we’ll look at the entire organization, from front office to the players, and talk about who’s in and who’s out.
