If you have always been a “one maybe two concerts a year” type of person that has always said, man I am going to go to ( Fill In The Blank)Festival next year. Well you know what? You need to get off your lazy bum and plan that damn trip. It all starts with buying the ticket. Once you buy the ticket then you know that you have to go, so you will take off work, buy a plane ticket, sucker a friend to go with you, and plan the most amazing trip of your year. Festivals can range for anyone’s taste, from the 3 day mega festival, to the beach festival, to the chill one day festival in a remote farm city. They are all good in their own way and you will love any of them no matter what. As long as you do your homework and prep, prep, prep. Did I say perp? Prep.
The first thing you need to know for your festival journey is when do the tickets go on sale??? This is a huge thing, because concerts like Lollapalooza will sell out in 1 day, yes it is that fast. So you need to do your due diligence and find out when they go on sale, make a calendar note and be ready at your computer to by the minute they go on sale. If you don’t have a full confirmation on your friends being able to go, be a cool guy/gal and just buy 2 tickets. No matter what you will find a friend that can go and they will thank you for the rest of their lives. I still look at my SXSW pics with my buddies and we tell stories all night long about the crazy shit that happened.
